White Carniolan Diple

A diple bagpipe chanter – an example of one of the two known types of diple chanters of White Carniola (Bela krajina). The instrument is and most likely has been played “parallely” with each hands covering toneholes on its own bore, using the same or similar playing technique as is used to play dvojnice double flutes of the Balkans and Istrian šurle.

I’ve made this instrument in 2015.
